Physical Therapists on assignment here partner closely with residents and interdisciplinary teams to deliver individualized, evidence-based services that enhance independence and daily function. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop customized care plans with functional long- and short-term goals
- Administer therapeutic interventions in collaboration with physicians and caregivers
- Monitor progress, adjust treatment as needed, and document all services meticulously in the EMR system
- Educate patients and families on therapy plans, use of assistive devices, and discharge needs
- Collaborate with assistants and interdisciplinary teams; provide mentorship to new staff
- Maintain compliance with Medicare and insurance regulations
- Support department cleanliness and adhere to infection control procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required (Master’s or Doctorate preferred)
- Current PT license in MA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities is a plus
- Strong communication, analytical, and time management abilities
- Compassionate, team-oriented, and skilled in documentation
