This travel physical therapy assignment promises more than just a change of scenery. Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts based on patient care schedule, typically 8–10 hours per day.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Active Physical Therapist license in California (or eligibility to test soon)
- Continuing Education coursework preferred
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records, Microsoft Word, and internet research
- Familiarity with billing, coding (DX and ICD-10), and privacy compliance
- Capable of lifting 50+ pounds, supporting patients with mobility restraints
- Strong communication, independent decision-making, and supervisory skills
- Up-to-date on HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable federal/state regulations
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients as part of comprehensive rehab programs
- Supervise PT Assistants and Aides in patient care
- Utilize EMR for thorough, accurate documentation
- Communicate directly with physicians, interdisciplinary team, and front office
- Guide patients through treatment and answer their questions
- Uphold privacy standards and promote regulatory compliance
- Participate in marketing and referral activities as needed
- Engage in ongoing professional development and privacy training
