Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (Master’s or Doctorate preferred)
  • Active PT license in Massachusetts
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
  • Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is an asset
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to supervise assistant-level staff and mentor new employees
  • Compassion, adaptability, and a resident-centered care approach

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed PT evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize functional abilities
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions under provider orders, monitoring and adjusting as needed
  • Document evaluations and treatment in EMRs clearly and compliantly
  • Recommend and instruct on the use of assistive devices
  • Maintain professional standards and state requirements, ensuring high-quality patient care
  • Provide mentorship to new staff and participate in ongoing education
  • Engage in department cleanliness, safety, and infection control practices
