As a traveling Physical Therapist, you’ll evaluate patients and craft individualized treatment plans to facilitate their recovery and safe transition back into community life. This role places you at the forefront of patient care, responsible for directing therapy services, providing education to patients, families, and colleagues, and ensuring that all care is delivered with consistent quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and use clinical reasoning to develop and modify patient treatment plans.
  • Guide and delegate therapy services to discipline-specific team members for assigned patients.
  • Document medical records clearly, accurately, and in compliance with all state, federal, and facility guidelines.
  • Ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
  • Serve as a resource and educator for patients, families, students, and peers, participating in student training programs as assigned.
  • Uphold all facility guidelines for professional conduct, attendance, appearance, and safety policies (including safe patient handling and infection control).
  • Proactively engage in your own professional development, pursuing continuing education, participating in organizational performance improvement, and maintaining state licensure.
  • Model core values, safety, and ethical standards in all interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience in hospital-based or outpatient physical therapy settings preferred.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Commitment to professional growth and ongoing education.
