Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, travel assignment (specific schedule to be provided upon offer)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred
- Active Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is a plus
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records
- Ability to work efficiently within an interdisciplinary team
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring mobility and stamina
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate residents and establish individualized therapy plans
- Administer therapeutic procedures under physician’s orders, ensuring patient safety
- Collaborate with caregivers, nurses, and referral sources on care planning
- Monitor progress, updating care plans as needed
- Mentor new staff and provide in-service education
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with Medicare and reimbursement regulations
- Ensure department cleanliness and assist with equipment maintenance
- Supervise assistant-level staff, adhering to all relevant standards and guidelines
