A skilled Physical Therapist with acute care, SNF, and/or inpatient rehab experience is sought for a contract assignment at a leading 42-bed inpatient rehab unit within a prominent acute care hospital complex in Florida. This role offers day shifts with a commitment of one weekend per month, balanced by weekdays off, and no overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient therapy to diverse populations including orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical patients
- Deliver evidence-based care utilizing available therapeutic equipment such as treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including directors, lead PTs, therapists, and assistants
- Accurately document patient progress in the Meditech EMR system
- Adapt to varied day shift hours determined by surgical volume and holiday rotations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid BLS certification
- Minimum of one year experience in hospital acute care, inpatient rehab, or skilled nursing facility settings
- Proven ability to work varied day shifts with dedication and flexibility
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
- Strong critical thinking, excellent time management, and compassionate patient care skills
- Comfortable working in a highly technological environment

Schedule:
- Day shifts, 8 hours
- One weekend per month with compensatory weekdays off
