Physical Therapist | Providence, Rhode Island

An opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist to work in a hospital setting on a contract basis. This position offers the chance to provide therapeutic support to patients, working as part of a professional healthcare team dedicated to delivering top-quality rehabilitative care.

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state
• Prior hospital-based therapy experience preferred
• Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with documentation and electronic health records
• Adaptability to work in a dynamic healthcare environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, develop tailored treatment plans, and monitor progress
• Provide patient-centered, evidence-based physical therapy interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other therapists for coordinated care
• Educate patients and their families on treatment strategies and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as required
