Schedule/Hours

Role Overview As a vital member of the therapy team, you'll help patients maximize their physical potential and adjust to disabilities by:

• Interpreting evaluations and test results
• Developing and implementing treatment plans
• Administering manual therapy and guiding exercises
• Instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in physical activities and use of supportive devices
• Documenting goals, progress, and plans for reevaluation
• Communicating with patients and their families regarding care
• Adhering to hospital-wide quality and process improvement initiatives
• Supervising Physical Therapist Assistants within regulatory guidelines
• Accurately completing daily documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy required; Master’s or Doctorate (DPT) preferred (DPT required for licensure from 2016 onward)
• Active Physical Therapist license and BLS certification required
• 1-2 years’ experience in a hospital, rehab, or ambulatory setting required
• Orthopedic physical therapy experience essential
• Strong communication, organizational, and case management skills
• Familiarity with EMR systems and knowledge of medical terminology
