Schedule/Hours

Role Overview As a vital member of the therapy team, you'll help patients maximize their physical potential and adjust to disabilities by:
- Interpreting evaluations and test results
- Developing and implementing treatment plans
- Administering manual therapy and guiding exercises
- Instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in physical activities and use of supportive devices
- Documenting goals, progress, and plans for reevaluation
- Communicating with patients and their families regarding care
- Adhering to hospital-wide quality and process improvement initiatives
- Supervising Physical Therapist Assistants within regulatory guidelines
- Accurately completing daily documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy required; Master’s or Doctorate (DPT) preferred (DPT required for licensure from 2016 onward)
- Active Physical Therapist license and BLS certification required
- 1-2 years’ experience in a hospital, rehab, or ambulatory setting required
- Orthopedic physical therapy experience essential
- Strong communication, organizational, and case management skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems and knowledge of medical terminology
