Provide expert physical therapy services in an outpatient hospital setting, focusing on comprehensive patient evaluation and development of individualized treatment plans. This role involves overseeing discipline-specific therapy services and ensuring functional treatment programs to support patients’ successful return to community activities. Serving as an educator, you will guide patients, families, students, and coworkers while upholding professional standards, organizational values, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of assigned patients and develop treatment plans aligned with physician directions and patient goals.
- Delegate and direct therapy services effectively to meet individualized patient needs.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation, including goal-setting, quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
- Promote patient and employee safety through adherence to safety policies, including safe handling, infectious disease protocols, and workplace hazard identification.
- Participate in student education by providing supervision, setting learning objectives, and completing evaluations.
- Engage in continuous professional development and maintain active licensure according to state requirements.
- Support organizational quality improvement initiatives by actively taking part in performance improvement processes and offering constructive feedback.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license with good standing.
- Experience in outpatient hospital or acute care physical therapy settings.
- Knowledge of state practice acts and regulatory standards.
