Physical Therapist | Springfield, Missouri

A skilled physical therapist is needed to provide specialized care in a critical illness and rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations to develop effective, goal-oriented treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to overcome barriers to discharge, including equipment management and patient/family education.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group therapy sessions efficiently based on patient needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, including daily notes, goal updates, assessments, and discharge summaries.
• Ensure all care is delivered under valid physician orders and insurance approvals.
• Participate in the supervision and mentoring of students as assigned, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Develop and pursue individualized professional growth plans, engaging in continuing education and professional activities.
• Actively engage in patient and professional advocacy, including community events and health initiatives.
• Comply with state practice acts, maintain licensure, and uphold ethical standards.
• Support organizational performance improvement initiatives by providing feedback and following action plans.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid physical therapist licensure in accordance with the relevant state practice act.
• Demonstrated competence in hospital-based physical therapy and rehabilitation.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills and ability to develop patient-centered treatment plans.
• Experience collaborating within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Commitment to maintaining safety standards and following hospital policies.
