Professionally, you’ll build your resume through hands-on treatment of diverse patient populations across inpatient and acute units, including experiences with geriatric, neurological, stroke, and amputation cases. This assignment delivers exposure to a variety of therapeutic approaches and collaborative care plans, fostering your ability to adapt and excel in new settings, while learning from multiple disciplines and leadership styles. The ability to float between units further maximizes your growth as a practitioner and problem solver.
Schedule/Hours
- 8:00AM – 4:30PM, Monday through Friday
- One weekend required per month
- Holidays as required
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy required
- Current Alabama Physical Therapist License in good standing
- AHA or Red Cross BLS certification
- 2 years’ experience preferred; will consider 18 months under highest level of professional license, with 1 year in specialty field
- Experience in inpatient/acute settings is ideal; OT and SLP licenses are a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Manage care for 6 patients per day, including evaluations and developing individualized plans
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Deliver effective therapeutic interventions and education
- Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly
- Float as needed between units
