Deliver hands-on, patient-centered physical therapy in a dynamic inpatient hospital environment. You’ll work on a collaborative team that values advanced clinical skills and compassionate patient care within a 42-bed rehab unit. The role’s weekday day shifts are complemented by a balanced schedule—one weekend per month with offsetting weekdays off.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shifts (8 hours)
- No on-call
- One weekend per month, with weekday time off to balance
Qualifications:
- Active BLS certification
- Minimum one year recent experience in acute care hospital, inpatient rehab, or skilled nursing facility
- Demonstrated ability to work varied day shift hours
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
- Ability to manage care across a range of orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and post-surgical patient populations
- Strong teamwork, time management, and technology skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient therapy tailored to orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general med/surg patients
- Collaborate with a close-knit team, including directors, lead PTs, OTs, PTAs, and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records using Meditech
- Adapt to changing patient volumes and surgical schedules
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
- Ensure proper utilization of therapeutic modalities and state-of-the-art equipment, including treatment beds, resistance bands, treadmills, and more
- Uphold professional appearance in required grey scrubs—other attire not permitted
- Exemplify a compassionate, patient-focused approach in all interactions
