Location:
The position is split between two hospitals: Belton Regional Medical Center and Lee’s Summit Medical Center, located in the heart of Missouri. Both locations serve as key healthcare providers in their communities, each offering a comfortable and professional environment. Belton is a welcoming city known for its convenient access to outdoor recreational activities and a friendly suburban atmosphere, providing a balanced lifestyle outside of work.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert inpatient speech-language pathology services focusing on conditions that require video swallow evaluations.
- Use advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and swallowing disorders in hospital patients.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation utilizing Meditech electronic health records.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and guidelines to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Work weekdays, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a floating schedule between the two sites to support patient needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCCs certification required.
- Proven inpatient experience with advanced skills in video swallow procedures.
- Ability to provide care in fast-paced hospital settings and adapt to floating between two locations.
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards and ongoing clinical development.
