A specialized opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with inpatient experience at two respected medical centers located in Blue Springs, MO, serving both Belton and Lee’s Summit areas. This contract position provides a unique chance to work in a dynamic inpatient setting, split between two hospital campuses.
Location:
The assignment involves inpatient units at two hospitals: a 71-bed facility in Belton and an 88-bed facility in Lee’s Summit. Both sites are equipped with modern technology and use the Meditech documentation system. Daily drives between locations will be necessary as part of the floating schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert speech therapy services to inpatients, including administering and interpreting Video Swallow studies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Adhere to hospital policies and documentation standards using Meditech.
- Maintain professional communication and ensure quality patient experience standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
- Proven inpatient therapy experience, preferably in acute care or hospital settings.
- Proficiency in advanced clinical procedures such as Video Swallow evaluations.
- Ability to manage caseload effectively during weekday hours, generally from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
- Comfortable working across two hospital locations within close proximity.

- On-call is not required for this position.
