This contract position requires expertise in hospital-based speech-language pathology and offers a dynamic caseload, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and the chance to make a measurable difference in patient outcomes.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- No weekends or major holidays
- Shifts begin at 8:00 am; 30-minute lunch at 12:00 pm
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed and credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in healthcare/hospital settings
- Proficient in performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) using a C-arm, in coordination with radiology staff
- Comfortable providing therapy to patients with tracheostomy, passy muir speaking valves, and high oxygen needs
- Ability to communicate progress and concerns effectively with physicians and care teams
- Competence treating a variety of diagnoses such as CVA, stroke, TBI, SCI, and respiratory failure
- Self-directed with the ability to serve as the primary SLP while collaborating with PRN staff as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions for patients with complex medical needs
- Regularly perform and document Modified Barium Swallow Studies in collaboration with radiology
- Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Strive to achieve productivity expectations of 50% (minimum 240 minutes of billable patient treatment per 8-hour shift)
- Contribute to patient discharge planning with the goal of home or inpatient rehabilitation placement
- Uphold high standards of care and documentation in a supportive environment

$2,606 - $2,747/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
