This contract assignment offers the chance to work closely with therapy managers to deliver tailored speech-language pathology services, focusing on adult inpatient rehab and acute care populations.

Schedule:

  • Wednesday – Saturday
  • 10-hour shifts, 7:45 am – 6:15 pm (negotiable start time)

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Master’s preferred)
  • Valid BLS certification required
  • Strong experience with adult inpatient rehab, acute care, and assessments (including bedside swallow and BIM)
  • Proficient documentation skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Familiarity with Cerner and Epic systems is highly advantageous

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized care plans for adults with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders
  • Perform bedside swallow assessments and BIM evaluations as clinically indicated
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient outcomes during inpatient rehab and acute care
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies for optimal recovery
  • Adhere to established standards, procedures, and best practices while upholding patient confidentiality
