Step into a fulfilling role where you will provide exceptional therapy services within a hospital setting as a speech-language pathologist. This is a 13-week contract assignment with the potential for extension or conversion. Working closely with a seasoned therapy team, you will play a crucial part in supporting adult patients on their journey to improved communication and swallowing function.

Schedule:

  • Wednesday – Saturday
  • 10-hour shifts (7:45 AM – 6:15 PM; negotiable start time)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience with inpatient rehab, adult acute care, and adult assessments (including bedside swallow or BIM assessment)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication abilities
  • Familiarity with Cerner and/or Epic electronic medical records is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech-language pathology evaluations and interventions for adult hospital patients
  • Administer comprehensive assessments related to communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation per hospital standards
  • Engage with patients and their families, providing education and guidance on therapy goals and progress
  • Contribute to maintaining a patient-centered, safety-focused environment
