Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active and valid SLP state license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience delivering therapy in a hospital environment, with an emphasis on pediatric populations
  • Strong knowledge of evaluation, assessment, and treatment methodologies for children with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams and families
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate and timely documentation

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing assessments for pediatric patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, using evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams, nurses, and family members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate caregivers and family members on therapy strategies to support continuity of care at home
  • Document all patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries promptly according to facility standards
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to coordinate holistic care
