Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a hospital setting
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current SLP license, or eligibility to obtain licensure, as required by state regulations
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of dysphagia management, neurological disorders, and acute care treatment techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders within the hospital
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s unique challenges and recovery goals
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding therapeutic strategies and progress
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational, and physical therapists as part of the comprehensive care team
  • Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and outcomes according to hospital and regulatory standards
  • Participate in case conferences and contribute to patient discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care
