A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services within a hospital setting. This contract position offers guaranteed hours, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care to your patients and making a tangible difference in their lives.
Schedule/Hours:
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior clinical experience in a hospital or rehabilitation environment, ideally serving adult and/or geriatric populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and assessment skills
- Current knowledge of therapeutic interventions for a broad range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients’ speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address functional needs
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow therapy providers to coordinate patient care
- Document patient progress according to hospital and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to improve speech and swallowing outcomes
- Participate in interdisciplinary care meetings as needed
