Speech Language Pathologist - Long Beach, California

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a contract role supporting both hospital and school settings. This position will provide therapy services to a diverse group of patients and students, ensuring quality care and specialized intervention across healthcare and educational environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Active Speech-Language Pathology license (state-specific)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Experience delivering therapy services in both hospital and school settings
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and family members
• Organizational skills for managing caseloads across different environments

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients and students with communication or swallowing disorders
• Deliver evidence-based speech, language, and swallowing therapies
• Work effectively with healthcare professionals, teachers, support staff, and families to maximize therapy outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with professional and legal standards
• Adapt therapeutic approaches to fit both hospital and educational protocols
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient/student care planning
