Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a hospital setting required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge in evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to educate patients and family members
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing assessments for hospitalized patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting patients’ communication and swallowing needs
  • Document patient progress according to hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other therapy disciplines to provide holistic care
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic interventions and home programs
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings as needed
