Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
• Standard 36/48 hours schedule every two weeks unless otherwise specified
• Occasional call for stroke evaluations only when no speech coverage is available (rare)

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field
• Pediatric outpatient experience
• Inpatient swallowing and modified barium swallow proficiencies
• Must reside at least 75 miles from Pikeville to qualify for this travel assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for hospital patients, with a focus on both pediatric outpatient and inpatient populations
• Provide modified barium swallow studies and interpret results
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation for continued education and seamless integration into hospital protocols
• On-call responsibilities reserved for infrequent coverage gaps involving stroke evaluations
