Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
- Standard 36/48 hours schedule every two weeks unless otherwise specified
- Occasional call for stroke evaluations only when no speech coverage is available (rare)
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Kentucky Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field
- Pediatric outpatient experience
- Inpatient swallowing and modified barium swallow proficiencies
- Must reside at least 75 miles from Pikeville to qualify for this travel assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for hospital patients, with a focus on both pediatric outpatient and inpatient populations
- Provide modified barium swallow studies and interpret results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Participate in bi-weekly orientation for continued education and seamless integration into hospital protocols
- On-call responsibilities reserved for infrequent coverage gaps involving stroke evaluations
