Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience in hospital or healthcare settings is highly desirable
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment planning for speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct evaluation and evidence-based treatment for adult and pediatric patients with a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Document all patient care activities including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility standards
  • Communicate with insurance companies to verify and discuss patient benefits related to therapy
  • Deliver patient-centered education and recommendations to nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service staff
  • Lead in-service presentations and contribute to ongoing staff education
  • Prepare and maintain clean, safe treatment environments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
  • Offer support to patients and families in navigating the hospital experience
