Step into a vital Speech-Language Pathology role supporting patients recovering and thriving in a hospital setting. This contract opportunity focuses on adult acute care and inpatient rehabilitation, giving you the chance to use your expertise in assessments and therapy while collaborating closely with an experienced therapy manager.

Schedule:

  • Wednesday through Saturday
  • 10-hour shifts, typically 7:45 am – 6:15 pm (start time negotiable)

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
  • Valid BLS certification
  • Experience with inpatient rehabilitation and adult acute care
  • Skilled in adult assessments, including bedside swallow or BIM evaluation
  • Strong documentation abilities
  • Independent, proactive work style with excellent communication
  • Experience with Cerner and Epic electronic health record systems a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized speech-language pathology treatment plans for adults
  • Conduct comprehensive communication and swallowing assessments in a hospital environment
  • Document patient progress and update care plans as needed, maintaining robust, compliant records
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide clear instruction and support to patients and families, facilitating education and ongoing rehabilitation
  • Contribute to a supportive, goal-focused clinical atmosphere while adapting to fast-changing patient needs
