Step into a vital role providing hospital-based speech-language therapy services, focusing on adult patients in an acute care and inpatient rehabilitation setting. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks, with potential for extension, and is ideal for professionals skilled in assessment and evidence-based intervention.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Wednesday – Saturday
  • 10-hour shifts (7:45am–6:15pm; start time negotiable)

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; master’s degree preferred
  • Valid BLS certification
  • Experience with inpatient rehab and adult acute care
  • Proficiency in adult assessments, including bedside swallow or BIM assessment
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Cerner and Epic EMR system experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication abilities and a self-motivated approach

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech-language pathology services for hospital-based adult patients
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including bedside swallow evaluations or BIM assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to support patient communication goals
  • Maintain timely and thorough documentation according to facility and regulatory standards
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-focused care
  • Uphold all safety and ethical standards while working collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
