Schedule/Hours:
• Full-time contract position (specific schedule to be determined with the facility)
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Clinical expertise in evaluating and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Dedication to ongoing professional development and the application of evidence-based therapy
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct assessment and treatment for patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing impairments
• Develop individualized plans of care and perform initial, progress, and discharge documentation
• Prepare for and execute evaluation and therapy sessions tailored to each patient
• Liaise with insurance companies as needed to coordinate patient benefit information
• Deliver education to a variety of hospital staff regarding evaluation results, treatment recommendations, and current best practices
• Design and present in-service training and educational sessions for staff
• Maintain clean and organized treatment areas
• Make reminder calls to patients and assist in supporting patients and their families navigating the hospital care process
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, dietitians, and other team members to ensure patient-centered outcomes
• Participate in additional duties as assigned by leadership
