Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school-based team for the 2026–2027 school year. The OT will work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic participation, independence, and overall development.
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy services to students based on their individual educational and developmental needs.
Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings as required.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations.
Provide direct and/or consultative therapy services in accordance with student needs.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and related service providers.
Monitor and document student progress toward established goals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory requirements.
Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and strategies to improve student participation and independence.
Educate school staff and caregivers on strategies that support students' functional and educational needs.
Follow all applicable federal, state, district, and professional standards.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current Occupational Therapist license in the applicable state.
Eligible for or possession of appropriate school-based credentials, if required.
Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
