Qualifications & Experience:
- Active licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience providing OT services in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both students and educational staff
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and reporting
- Adaptable and positive approach to working within diverse school communities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate student participation in school activities and academics
- Maintain thorough records of student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Provide education and resources for staff and families to support carryover of OT strategies
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
