Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current license and certification relevant to the position: Occupational Therapist (OT), School-Based OT, or Speech-Language Pathologist with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience working in a school setting, with a strong understanding of IEP processes and educational assessment tools
- Familiarity with therapy best practices for children and adolescents in academic environments
- Ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, administrators, and students from diverse backgrounds
- Adept at managing caseload priorities and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments and develop individual therapy plans tailored to academic and developmental needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in group settings, integrating evidence-based techniques
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and communication logs in compliance with school and state standards
- Offer resources and consultation for staff and families to support carryover of skills and maximize student participation
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings as required
