In this hands-on, in-person opportunity near Exmore, VA, you'll provide evidence-based OT services to a lively caseload of 20-25 children each week. You’ll play a key role in helping students enhance their participation and success across school activities.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Experience in school-based OT, healthcare OT, home health OT, or skilled therapy
• Skilled in evaluating and developing individualized treatment plans for children
• Comfortable supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to complete thorough assessments
• Dedication to collaboration and flexibility in a school environment
• Previous experience with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct OT services to students, supporting their educational progress and participation
• Complete comprehensive assessments and maintain timely, accurate documentation
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans
• Supervise and mentor COTAs, providing guidance and oversight for ongoing therapy services
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input for OT-related goals
• Stay current with best practices and adhere to relevant state and district guidelines
