Skilled Nursing Facility Occupational Therapist - Kent, Washington

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students’ growth and development through occupational therapy at two vibrant schools near Kent, WA. In this full-time opportunity, you’ll make an impact by collaborating with dedicated educators and serving an approximate caseload of 41 students. The assignment runs from September 9 through the end of the school year, with a required half-day training the week prior.

As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll split your week between two campuses, working three days at one school and two at the other. This dynamic setting is the perfect environment to apply your expertise and foster independence, participation, and well-being for children in a school-based context.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Current and valid licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• Background in therapy within healthcare, home health, and pediatric/school-based settings
• Previous experience working in a school environment highly preferred
• Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Positive and flexible attitude, ready to adapt to new environments

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessing students’ abilities and developing individualized treatment plans
• Delivering direct therapy and consultative services in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and engagement
• Maintaining detailed records and progress notes
• Communicating effectively with parents and staff about student progress
• Providing resources and training for teachers and caregivers as needed
