Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and success in an engaging school setting near Kent, WA. You’ll work with a caseload of approximately 41 students across two supportive schools—spending three days each week at one campus and two at another. This position is based on-site; virtual candidates will not be considered. The assignment runs from September 9 through the end of the school year, with a required half-day training the week prior to your start.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Current license or eligibility for Occupational Therapy practice in Washington state
- Demonstrated experience with school-based OT, OT in home health, or healthcare OT environments
- Ability to assess, plan, and deliver therapy for students with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
- Organizational skills to manage caseload and documentation responsibilities efficiently
- Passion for working with children in educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy to support educational and developmental outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and goal-setting
- Deliver therapy both individually and in group settings across two schools
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, progress notes, and reports
- Participate in parent meetings, staff planning, and professional development opportunities
- Attend a mandatory half-day training prior to assignment start
