Skilled Nursing Facility Occupational Therapist - Los Alamos, New Mexico

A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available for the 26/27 school year, serving students in grades K-8. This contract role is based in Los Alamos, NM, providing an excellent opportunity to work within a school setting focused on supporting children’s developmental and functional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled occupational therapy services to students across grades K-8.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 34 students, assessing and addressing individual therapy goals.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to create effective intervention plans.
• Document student progress and maintain compliance with educational and therapy regulations.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches for student success.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles and strategies.
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a caseload.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families and educational teams.
• Familiarity with educational laws and compliance requirements related to therapy services.
