Make a difference in students’ lives by bringing your Occupational Therapy expertise to a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity allows you to work in person, providing high-quality OT services to children while collaborating with a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

In this role, you’ll serve a diverse caseload of approximately 20–25 students each week, dedicating 37.5 hours to direct therapy, evaluations, and intervention. You’ll supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and complete all required assessments, ensuring every student receives the individualized support they need to thrive in an academic environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Virginia OT licensure (VA OT)
  • Experience in school-based, home health, and healthcare OT settings preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in therapy assessment, intervention, and goal development
  • Ability to supervise and mentor COTAs effectively
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Commitment to collaborative teamwork and ongoing professional growth

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person occupational therapy services for K–12 students
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Oversee COTAs, offering guidance and supervision as required
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Communicate consistently with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations
