Skilled Nursing Facility Occupational Therapist - Puyallup, Washington

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist working across two supportive school environments for the upcoming academic year. This position focuses on providing skilled therapy services and interventions to students within both a middle and elementary school setting, with a manageable caseload of approximately 41 students. The assignment begins September 9 and continues through the end of the school year, with a required half-day training the week prior to prepare you for a successful transition.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in Washington state
• Experience in school-based settings, home health, or healthcare a strong plus
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans for students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work onsite (virtual candidates cannot be considered)

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students at Rainier Middle School (three days per week) and Lea Hill Elementary (two days per week)
• Assess students' needs, create individualized therapy goals, and track progress throughout the school year
• Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other professionals to support student development
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow district guidelines for therapy services
• Engage in professional development and attend a half-day training prior to the assignment’s start

This full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, allowing you to create meaningful connections with students and staff over the course of the school year.
