Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting student success through expert therapy services. This contract role offers the chance to create real impact at two vibrant educational settings, working with a diverse caseload of approximately 41 students. Your week will be balanced, spending three days at one school and two days at another, fostering connections and delivering top-notch interventions directly on site (virtual candidates will not be considered).
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license required
- Previous experience in schools, home health, or healthcare settings strongly preferred
- Demonstrated skills in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
- Adaptable, organized, and compassionate in a dynamic environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments and individualized treatment for students with a variety of needs
- Develop goal-oriented therapy plans to enhance students’ participation and functional independence within the school environment
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and deliver reports as needed
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and related service personnel
- Lead small group and 1:1 interventions supporting fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
