An opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with experience in skilled therapy, home health, healthcare, and school settings to support K-12 students. This full-time, in-person contract position is based in Sacramento, CA, and is ideal for an OT licensed in California looking to provide high-quality therapy services.

The assignment will cover a medical leave lasting approximately 30 days, starting as soon as possible to ensure continuity of care for students in need. The role focuses on delivering skilled OT services tailored to the educational environment, addressing developmental, sensory, and functional needs to help students succeed.

Key Qualifications:

  • California Occupational Therapy license (CA OT) is required
  • Experience providing skilled occupational therapy services in school, healthcare, or home health settings
  • Knowledge of K-12 student developmental stages and individualized education program (IEP) requirements
  • Ability to work effectively with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals
  • Strong communication and documentation skills for therapy progress and compliance

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and intervention in a school environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings as required
  • Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet individual student needs and goals
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and ethical standards
