Make a positive impact on students’ lives in a dynamic educational environment by applying your skills as a School Occupational Therapist. This part-time contract position is perfect for an experienced and passionate therapist looking to make a difference during the 2026-2027 school year.
Assignment Details:
- Contract assignment beginning August 6, 2026 and ending May 27, 2027
- Approximately 20 hours weekly, supporting a caseload of about .4 FTE across five local school sites
- Onsite services only, focusing on school-based therapy and supporting student needs
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver occupational therapy aligned with student IEP goals and educational objectives
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress
- Maintain thorough and compliant therapy documentation and session notes
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families to support holistic student development
- Help students access both educational content and functional aspects of their school environments
What We’re Looking For:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of New Mexico
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and a knack for effective communication, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt and work across multiple sites while staying detail-oriented and focused on student outcomes
