This contract opportunity, based near Oakland, CA, is perfect for a skilled PT who thrives working with younger children and enjoys a part-time, flexible schedule. Your expertise will support a caseload of 13 students, with most attending three elementary schools and one attending a nearby non-public school. This position offers approximately 6.25 hours of direct services per week, best accomplished over two days to allow ample time for travel, assessments, and student care.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current California Physical Therapist license (CA PT) required
  • Previous experience with pediatric, school-based, or healthcare physical therapy strongly preferred
  • Passion for working with students ages preschool through 3rd grade
  • Strong organization skills to manage scheduling and caseload across multiple campus environments
  • Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans and track progress

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services for a diverse group of students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and collaborate with educational teams to support each student’s needs
  • Travel between school sites to deliver therapy and participate in team meetings or consultations
  • Maintain thorough records and communicate regularly with teachers, families, and related service providers
  • Contribute insights to help shape a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
