We are seeking a compassionate, California-licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to work part-time, two days per week, with a caseload of 13 students ranging from preschool through third grade. This position offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with educational teams, shape student outcomes, and foster growth in a diverse group of elementary-aged children.
As a valued contributor, you will serve students at three elementary schools, as well as one student attending a non-public school. This contract-based role is designed for someone who enjoys balancing direct therapy with assessments and travel. You will work an estimated 6.25 hours per week, distributed across two days, to allow for comprehensive support and flexibility.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current, active Physical Therapist license in California (CA PT required)
- Background in pediatric or school-based physical therapy
- Experience with diverse populations, including preschoolers and elementary-aged children
- Strong assessment, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions as outlined in student IEPs
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop goal-oriented treatment plans
- Coordinate care and communicate progress with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide services both within public elementary schools and one non-public school location
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to all state and school policies
