Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Albany, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Active SLP license or eligibility in New York State
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
• Prior experience delivering therapy in school settings is highly valued
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and school staff
• Strong organizational abilities and adaptability to dynamic school environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' unique needs
• Deliver direct therapy services, both individually and in group sessions
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences to advocate for student needs
• Provide strategies and resources to teachers and caregivers for reinforcement outside of sessions
