Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current or in-progress Virginia Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
  • CCC credential, CFY candidates, and those experienced in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP all encouraged to apply
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic practices for children with speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff in a school environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for elementary-aged students
  • Deliver direct therapy services, both individual and group, according to student needs
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting strategies as necessary
  • Offer consultation and support to teaching staff and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
