Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Virginia SLP licensure required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience with pediatric populations (elementary age preferred)
  • Background in school-based or healthcare SLP services
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Adaptability and positivity working across varied assignments

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to elementary students
  • Conduct individualized assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, and track student progress
  • Provide both direct therapy and consultative services in collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Organize and manage schedules efficiently across one or two school campuses
  • Document all services, maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to a positive school culture
