Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric, school-based settings
- Comfort with diverse caseloads, including students with a variety of communication needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary school teams and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students according to IEP requirements
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Track student progress, maintain detailed documentation, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Offer guidance and strategies to teachers and caregivers to support generalization of skills
- Remain aligned with evidence-based practices and district/state guidelines for school-based SLP services
- Participate in ongoing staff development and support efforts to promote students’ success
