Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Therapist - Cicero, IL

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Illinois SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of current therapy best practices and applicable technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address IEP goals
• Provide direct therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to monitor student progress
• Document services and maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise, and provide recommendations for accommodations or modifications
• Educate and empower school personnel and families about strategies to support communication and language development
