Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Therapist - Crewe, VA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, with most of your caseload focused on elementary learners. Located near Crewe, VA, this position is designed for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist ready to make an impact through skilled, in-person services within a school-based setting.

With a planned start date of September 28 (if available), you’ll provide 26.75 service delivery hours each week—dedicated exclusively to direct student interaction, with prep and paperwork time allotted separately.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Valid Speech-Language Pathology license, eligible for practice in schools
• CCC-SLP or CFY candidates encouraged to apply
• Experience with pediatric populations, especially in school settings
• Familiarity with a range of communication disorders across various age groups
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Ability to collaborate with staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of speech and language therapy to students, with an emphasis on elementary-aged learners
• Evaluating and tracking student progress; providing comprehensive assessments and reports
• Developing and implementing effective IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Participating in meetings and multidisciplinary team collaborations
• Educating and supporting school staff and families regarding student goals and strategies
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant school and regulatory guidelines
