The available caseloads include preschool, elementary, and middle school classrooms, all focused on fostering student potential.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential applicable to California, or eligibility to obtain appropriate certification
- Previous experience with moderate to severe student populations (Preschool, Elementary, Middle School preferred)
- Strong ability to design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborative team approach and willingness to partner with families, support staff, and administrators
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom community
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction in alignment with students’ IEP goals in academic, social, and functional skill areas
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet individual needs
- Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Track and document student progress, preparing required reports and participating in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other service providers
- Maintain ongoing communication with families to celebrate student successes and address challenges
- Manage classroom routines and instructional aides effectively
