Key Skills and Background:

  • Current TN SLP license required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • Previous experience in school settings, pediatrics, or healthcare-related SLP preferred
  • Expertise in evaluating and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in children
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with students, teachers, and families
  • Comfortable adapting therapy plans to individual student needs
  • SLPAs are not eligible for this position

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload of school-aged students
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, interpret results, and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Provide consultative support to educators and families to maximize student success
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and district requirements for documentation and service delivery
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current in the field
