Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Des Plaines, IL

Qualifications/Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Previous experience with school-aged youth is a plus
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools, IEP process, and evidence-based interventions
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations for students referred for speech and language concerns
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
• Track progress and maintain documentation according to state and school policies
• Participate in IEP meetings, conferences, and collaborative planning with faculty, parents, and support staff
• Provide consultation and resources to educational staff and families regarding student communication strategies
• Adapt therapy services to remote or in-person formats as needed
