Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2025-2026 school year as a Speech Language Pathologist, supporting elementary students in an engaging school-based environment. This full-time, in-person role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on young learners while working closely with the Director of Special Education and multidisciplinary teams. The assignment begins August 13th, 2025 and runs through May 21st, 2026, following a Monday through Friday schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Active VA Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
  • Commitment to supporting students with special education needs and their families
  • Experience in assessment, evaluation, and consultation
  • Previous school-based SLP practice preferred
  • Proficiency across pediatric, healthcare, and teletherapy settings; CFY and CCC candidates welcome
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to apply humor and positivity in interactions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individualized assessments and deliver therapy for students with speech and language needs
  • Serve as a collaborative partner on multidisciplinary teams, providing expertise in IEP planning and progress monitoring
  • Consult and coordinate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to optimize student outcomes
  • Develop and support strategies for effective classroom and community-based language programming
  • Maintain clear documentation and communication as required by school and special education protocols

This role offers a competitive starting pay rate (beginning at $47 per hour depending on credentials), along with comprehensive health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits. Eligible travel professionals may receive additional stipends, and all hours for direct and indirect services are guaranteed.
