Key Qualifications:
- Active California SLP license (CA SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience in pediatric therapy, ideally within a school or educational setting
- Expertise working with diverse student populations and a variety of communication needs
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with faculty, families, and outside professionals
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and fostering a supportive, inclusive environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs) during ESY
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment goals, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Document services and progress in compliance with district and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer clinical input on student development
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet varied communication needs and learning styles
